Welcome to Spanish   The children will be learning Spanish this year through a fun and exciting interactive program.  We will enjoy puppets, music, mimes, excursions, activities and games that will make learning Spanish a real treat!   Greeting such as “Hello,” “What is your name?” and “How are you?” along with farewells, and introductions will be taught.  Through the use of puppets and video interaction, we will be learning about classroom people and objects.  Children will learn basic concepts such as colors, numbers, parts of the body, months and the days of the week in Spanish.  Questions about the weather and feelings will be asked.  We will learn how to make the Sign of the Cross and say prayers in Spanish.  Children will read and write simple sentences and describe or demonstrate customs from Spanish-speaking countries.   There are so many benefits to learning a foreign language early.  We are looking forward to sharing a wonderful experience in Spanish with your children this year!                                                                                                                Mrs. Kelly
