MUSIC

The Children's Choir sang at our annual Catholic Schools Week family Mass on January 29th.  They sang songs by David Haas, "All Is Ready" and  "Come and Dine".  Students are now preparing to perform at the St. Jude Telethon on March 4th.  Pre-K and Kindergarten will sing "Yankee Doodle".  Grades 1 & 2 will sing "George Doesn't Wear a Wig".  Grades 3, 4 & 5 will sing "Never Say Never" from the movie the Karate Kid.  Grades 6, 7 & 8 will sing "Count On Me", recorded by Bruno Mars.  The younger choir will sing "The Cool Bass Clef", a song about the notes of the bass clef and the older choir will sing "Dynamite" recorded by Tao Cruz.  Grade 3 will be starting recorder playing in music class.  All grade levels will be using the computer to learn music history and theory.  May God bless us all as our school year progresses.
